Despite the fact  health and wellness  is a billion dollar industry and it seems everyone is trying to live a healthier lifestyle, we are still a “fast food” society. Not necessarily in our approach to eating but in our approach to life.

We want everything supersized and fast! Including our content.

Remember the days when social media content was text only? Now, we scroll past anything that doesn’t include an image. This is exactly why Instagram has grown leaps and bounds over the past few years, recently reaching 1 billion active monthly users during the summer of 2018 *and 500 million daily active users.  And if there’s a small amount of content on the image, research shows the post is more impactful to followers because they can quickly learn something, engage with the brand and scroll on. While social media audiences spend literally hours a day on various platforms they also desire to learn more about your brand quickly and easily which is why your content needs to have the Big Mac Impact – big, fast and satisfying!

It’s likely we have never before experienced a media that has evolved and continues to evolve as quickly as social media marketing. When done well and designed to comply with trends and audience behavior, it can be extremely successful.

Make sure your imagery is making a powerful statement. And make sure your social media marketing content is engaging your audience by including these elements:

  • Lifestyle images – Create an emotional connection through your photography.
  • “How to” content – Provide consumers with information about your product.
  • Infographics – Abbreviate and share a detailed storyline through an infographic.
  • Quotes – Testimonials are one of the most impactful ways to impress consumers.
  • Industry related tips – Become the go to resource for your industry.
  • And ALWAYS add a link where they can learn more about your business!

Sometimes the pace of the barrage of changes on social media, the investment of time to develop and create the content along with the graphic skills can be overwhelming. Don’t bury your head in the sand and think this highly-populated space is going away. Simply hire a professional.
